Lotus and Renault engaged to be married again - Gastaldi
Federico Gastaldi has described the current status of Renault's bid to purchase the Lotus team as part of its full-scale return in 2016 as an 'engagement', with the marriage of a formal deal seemingly on its way. Almost six months after Renault first indicated a desire to upgrade its F1 involvement from engine supplier back to full manufacturer team status, its protracted buy-out of the Lotus looks to finally be reaching its final stages after the French firm signed a 'letter of intent' earlier this week. The first formal indication of Renault's intentions with Lotus, the conclusion of the deal will ultimately see the manufacturer return to the Enstone base seven years after winding down...
