Jenson Button to stay at McLaren-Honda
Jenson Button will stay with the McLaren-Honda team for the 2016 Formula 1 World Championship season, it has been officially confirmed. The 2009 F1 World Champion's future has been under careful scrutiny in recent weeks after hinting he may choose to bring his 16 year tenure in F1 to a conclusion, despite McLaren declaring its intentions to retain him. However, though Button carefully dodged speculation throughout the Japanese Grand Prix, McLaren CEO Ron Dennis later revealed the confirmation of the deal was forthcoming, saying its 'terminate after one year' option was not exercised.
