Haas: Grosjean will be an important asset

Gene Haas says the 'strong credentials and experience' of new signing Romain Grosjean has given the burgeoning Haas F1 team the perfect opportunity to make an impression in its first season of racing. The Frenchman was officially revealed as Haas F1's first signing for its maiden season in F1 during a press call at the team's base in Kinnapolis, the successful American outfit having lured him from Lotus after four seasons with the Enstone-based outfit. Though the deal was much expected after Grosjean revealed his future was assured against the uncertain backdrop of the Lotus-Renault situation, the move still marks something of a coup for the first American team to enter F1 since 1986....
