Singapore blip won t cause a panic Mercedes

Toto Wolff says Mercedes will take its surprise slump in performance at the Singapore Grand Prix seriously, but insists it is not going to 'panic' in the search for answers. Mercedes' lacklustre performance in Singapore saw it struggle to get on terms with Ferrari and Red Bull, with Nico Rosberg finishing a distant fourth and Lewis Hamilton retiring with technical issues. With a swing in performance of around two seconds per lap when measured against its rivals, Mercedes say the severity of the drop arguably indicates that the issue is specific with the tyres around the demanding Marina Bay Circuit and not a fundamental trait of the car.
