Lotus retains Pastor Maldonado for 2016

Lotus has confirmed it will retain the services of Pastor Maldonado for the 2016 Formula 1 campaign. The Venezuelan had a contract in place for next year although his future at the Enstone team was in doubt amid talks with Renault regarding a potential take over. Maldonado joined Lotus in 2014 after three seasons at Williams where he scored a breakthrough race win in the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix.
