Race stewards clamp down on Turn 2 run off exit

Singapore Grand Prix – The FIA & Singapore race stewards have outlined a new clampdown on drivers running wide at the first and second turns at Marina Bay. The first two corners at Marina Bay have been contentious over the years since the circuit made its F1 debut in 2008. The left hand Turn 1 immediately turns into a short right hander before a sharp left turn again, meaning that drivers who make an error into Turn 1 could simply scarper across the flat run off area and rejoin without losing time or position.
