Justin Wilson fatally injured in IndyCar crash

IndyCar Series Media Former Formula 1 driver Justin Wilson has succumbed to the injuries which he sustained during a crash at last weekend's IndyCar race at Pocono. He was 37. Andretti driver Wilson struck debris from Sage Karam's crashed car and sustained a severe head injury, falling into a coma from which he did not awake. Wilson raced for Minardi and Jaguar during his sole season in Formula 1 in 2003, scoring a point at the United States Grand Prix. Unable to secure a Formula 1 seat for 2004, Wilson turned his attention Stateside and raced in Champ Car and in IndyCar, following the reunification in 2008.
