Rosberg suffers dramatic tyre failure during FP2

Nico Rosberg had a very lucky escape during FP2 this afternoon after the Mercedes driver's rear right tyre's structural integrity deteriorated and exploded. Rosberg was on the 11th lap of a race simulation running the soft compound tyre when on the exit of Malmedy a thread appeared to be unravelling from the inside tyre wall of the Pirelli P Zero. Rosberg was able to still push for another half of the lap unaware that his rear right had suffered continuous damage, until at the mid point of Blanchimont the damaged tyre exploded, send Rosberg spinning and hurtling towards the run off at turn 18 coming to a stop metres before the tyre barrier.  'So very unusual situation where there seemed...
