Ericsson apologises to Sauber for FP2 crash

Marcus Ericsson has apologised to the Sauber team after crashing his car during second practice for the Belgian Grand Prix. The Swedish driver was 15th in the morning session, but ended practice two on Friday afternoon in eighth place, with Sauber's updates working well at Spa-Francorchamps. However, Ericsson's running was cut short in FP2 after he lost control of his Ferrari-powered C34 at the exit of Pouhon and spun into the barrier. 'In FP1 we tried different set-ups on the car,' he said. 'In the afternoon we then continued to build on FP1, doing short and long-runs on the soft and medium tyres.
