Both McLarens sent to the back of the grid

Belgian Grand Prix – As expected, both McLaren drivers have taken grid penalties for changing power unit and power unit elements in their MP4/30s. McLaren headed to Spa-Francorchamps aware that they would be taking grid penalties after Honda rolled out new versions of their power units, upgrades that required engine token usage. The announcement from the FIA came on Friday: Jenson Button will take a 25 place grid drop, while Fernando Alonso will take a 30 place grid drop. Unlike similar circumstances earlier in the year (a conspicuous example is Austria), no further penalties will apply during the race.
