Claire Williams: It's not because F1 is a man's world
Formula 1 is not the 'man's world' it once was, according to female deputy team boss Claire Williams who has witnessed a shift in the gender balance of power at the pinnacle of the sport. 'Formula one is quite different to how it was ten years – or even five years – ago,' she told Der Tagesspiegel. As well as 39-year-old Williams' prominent role at her father's Grove based team, Monisha Kaltenborn is the boss and co-owner at Sauber. And Williams' test driver is Susie Wolff.
