Kaltenborn explains early announcement

Monisha Kaltenborn says Sauber's decision to announce their driver line-up before the summer break was done to avoid silly season speculation. Last month in the build-up to the Hungarian GP, Sauber confirmed Marcus Ericsson and his current team-mate Felipe Nasr for next season. The announcement came as a surprise to many as the teams usually wait until after the summer break to name their drivers. However, Sauber team boss Kaltenborn feels it was the right decision as it means the team can push on with building for the future without having to deal with constant rumours.
