GP2: Maiden win for Matsushita in Hungary
Nobuharu Matsushita claimed his first GP2 Series race win after a commanding display in Hungary, whilst vandoorne pphotlinkhighlight}Stoffel Vandoorne made it an ART 1-2. At the start, second placed Raffaele Marciello was bogged down allowing Vandoorne and sirotkin pphotlinkhighlight}Sergey Sirotkin to cruise past. With cars slipping, sliding and running wide, tyre management was key. Indeed, battling tyre degradation in Budapest’s humid conditions proved very difficult, for some. The Racing Engineering duo looked to be on for a strong finish, but for Alexander Rossi, a pit stop for fresh tyres was unavoidable.
