High Attendances Needed For German F1 Race Future
Having lost the chance to host the F1 race this year and despite having signed a race sharing deal until 2018, German race organisers have warned about the historic venue's long term future. The race has previously been alternated between the venues of Nurburgring and Hockenheim and had been a very popular circuit with with good fan attendances. However, despite having a German multiple World Driver Champion in Sebastian Vettel supported by several German drivers on the grid AND a German team starting to dominate in the new era of technology, the local fans had stayed away.
