Super Licence points system tweaked

– Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, has announced a series of changes to its Super Licence points system, which will come into force ahead of the 2016 season.At the beginning of the year, the FIA announced that a driver would need to rack up 40 points – over three seasons of racing in other categories – to qualify for a licence.On a revised list, five categories would now award the required 40 points to their champions – the planned Formula 2 championship, GP2, European Formula 3, WEC (LMP1) and IndyCar.Formula Renault 3.5 is next with 35 points for the series champion, followed by GP3 on 30, Japanese Super Formula on 25, and WTCC, DTM and IndyLights all on 15.National...
