Hamilton moves ahead in final practice

Lewis Hamilton posted the quickest time during the final practice session for the British Grand Prix as Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg was hit by more gearbox problems. Hamilton posted a time of 1:32.917 on the Option tyres during the closing stages of the session to improve on his own earlier benchmark on the Prime compound. Rosberg emerged during the dying stages for one lap on the Option tyres and moved to within 0.552s of Hamilton, with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen a couple of tenths back in third.
