Mercedes handed reprimand for covering car
Mercedes has been handed a reprimand by the stewards for covering Nico Rosberg's car after it stopped on track during British Grand Prix first practice. The German driver was forced to park his car on the circuit just 15 minutes into the session after a loss of hydraulic pressure. When Rosberg's W06 was returned to the pit lane on a flatbed truck, the Mercedes mechanics covered it with a sheet. FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer believed the team had breached Article 27.4 of the sporting regulations, as there was no accident damage, and referred it to the stewards.
