US-Qatari investors eye Formula 1 stake

– A combined US and Qatari bid is looking to purchase a significant stake in Formula 1 from its primary shareholder, CVC Capital Partners, according to the Financial Times.The report claims that RSE Ventures and Qatar Sports Investments hope to acquire a 35.5 per cent stake in CVC, in a deal valued at between seven and eight billion US dollars.RSE, founded by property tycoon Stephen Ross, owns the NFL's Miami Dolphins team, while QSi's portfolio includes football teams FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.While both RSE and CVC declined to comment on the matter, Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed that CVC are in discussions with multiple parties."I have no idea...
