Renault braced for challenging weekend
Red Bull/Getty Images Renault says it is braced for a challenging weekend at the Austrian Grand Prix as it acknowledges that the circuit layout will not play to the strengths of its power unit. Only one Renault-powered driver scored points in Canada, with Daniil Kvyat claiming ninth position for Red Bull. Director of Operations Remi Taffin says that Renault is expecting a difficult weekend but must take advantage of any potential opportunities. "Austria is the second in a trio of fast, flowing tracks, coming after Montreal and before Silverstone," he said. "A high percentage of the lap is taken at wide open throttle with the long straights linked by heavy braking points....
