Button out of Canadian qualifying
Jenson Button will not take part in qualifying for the Canadian Grand Prix as his MP4-30 suffered an ERS failure in FP3. Button brought out the red flags late in Saturday's final practice at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve when his car lost power, grinding to a halt at Turn 7. The MP4-30 reportedly suffered an ERS-related failure and as such needs an engine change with McLaren confirming Button will have to sit out qualifying. The team tweeted: 'JB's car suffered ERS-related failure towards the end of FP3. 'Our engineers are looking at data, but sadly his car won't be ready for quali.'
