Todt: No ban on alcohol sponsorship

– FIA President Jean Todt has made clear that there will be no ban on alcohol sponsorship in Formula 1, describing such a move as impossible to implement.The European Alcohol Policy Alliance, known as Eurocare, last week issued a report into alcohol advertising and sponsorship in Formula 1, describing it as "a dangerous cocktail".Eurocare stated that, based on last year's Monaco Grand Prix, Formula 1's global audience of around 500 million people was exposed to an alcohol brand every five seconds.Responding to the report, Todt highlighted the 'Action For Road Safety' campaign introduced in 2009, and said it is out of the governing body's hands to intervene."The use of...
