Palmer quickest as Barcelona test ends

Lotus F1 Team Lotus driver Jolyon Palmer posted a late lap on the Super Soft tyres to set the quickest time on the final day of in-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Mercedes youngster Pascal Wehrlein had sat atop the times for much of the day's running but Palmer's lap of 1:26.080 demoted him to second. Red Bull youngster Pierre Gasly tested for the senior squad, having driven the Toro Rosso on Tuesday, and set the third best time, despite stopping at the pit exit during the afternoon session.
