Maldonado points bid ended by Grosjean strike

Pastor Maldonado's hopes of getting himself off the mark for the first time in 2015 came to another frustrating conclusion after contact with Lotus team-mate Romain Grosjean left him with rear-wing damage. The Venezuelan, who has hit problems from points' scoring positions in the previous two races, was in fine form early on as he battled up to seventh place, but in doing so, a move around the outside of turn three to pass Grosjean – who had run wide in turn two – would see the pair make contact. Causing damage to the rear-wing structure, Maldonado was still able to lap well, but he was forced to make an additional stop to remove the flapping bodywork as a safety precaution. With...
