Visor tear-off caused Alonso's retirement

– Fernando Alonso's retirement from the Spanish Grand Prix appears to have been caused by a tear-off strip blocking one of his rear brakes.Alonso, who was running in 14th position at the time, overshot his pit box when making a stop, forcing one of his mechanics to take avoiding action.Alonso's car was subsequently wheeled into the garage, where McLaren-Honda mechanics discovered a visor strip and diagnosed brake failure."My pitstop was a scary moment," Alondo said of the incident."I didn't have much rear braking for my whole in-lap, then even less at the stop. It was scary for the mechanics, but luckily it didn't hurt anyone."
