Bird narrowly misses out on podium

Sam Bird described himself as both 'satisfied' with scoring points and 'disappointed' with missing out on the podium. The Briton has seen his championship challenge falter in the last couple of races, but managed to claim a fourth-place finish after starting the race in 10th. Bird was able to narrowly miss the first lap chaos, but a pass on Nico Prost and strong pit work managed to benefit the Virgin Racing man.
