Buemi secures Monaco pole – Qualifying Report

E.dams-Renault driver Sebasiten Buemi took pole position for the Monaco ePrix ahead of Lucas di Grassi and Jerome D'Ambrosio. Group 1: The first group contained three championship contenders and a man who had a 50% pole position record in his Formula E career so far. Group one honours were expected to be competed between Sam Bird, Lucas di Grassi, Nelson Piquet Jr and Jean-Eric Vergne. When the faster laps started it was Piquet who drew first blood by registering a 54.172, ahead of Bird, Vergne and di Grassi by only one quarter of a second, whilst Chandhok initially struggled to complete a quick lap, but his first ‘flying' lap was seven tenths off the pace.
