Lotus hoping to ‘open some eyes’ in Barcelona

Lotus deputy team principal Federico Gastaldi has hinted a surprises to come from the Enstone squad as the F1 season resumes at the Spanish Grand Prix next weekend. While it is common for the majority of teams to use Barcelona to introduce their first serious upgrade for cars that have soldiered through four 'flyaway' races before returning to Europe, Gastaldi has confirmed that the factory has not rested in the first couple of months of the season, and is looking forward to being able to make a difference to the E23 even as the car begins to show more promise in the hands of Romain Grosjean Pastor Maldonado.
