FOM issue statement as 2016 calendar is leaked

A proposed calendar for 2016 appears to have some legitimacy, as FOM have issued a statement to clarify that it is not yet confirmed. This week saw a calendar released which contained several surprises. Not only did the schedule appear to show the season begin in April, 2-3 weeks later than usual, Malaysia has been moved close to the end of the season. The Sepang race came right at the end of the 1999 & 2000 seasons when it was introduced to the sport, but since then has been used close to the start of the year. The proposed schedule sees it pencilled in for a double header with Singapore in September. FOM have since said in a statement: 'It would appear that the proposed 2016 calendar...
