FIA delegates 'safe and accounted for' after earthquake in Nepal
The FIA has confirmed that delegates attending the inaugural Asia-Pacific Sport Regional Congress in Kathmandu, Nepal, are safe and accounted for after an earthquake hit the region on Saturday. The earthquake measured 7.8 on the Richter scale and was followed by a number of aftershocks, sadly claiming over 2,000 lives. The FIA said in a statement that all of the delegates in attendance were unharmed, adding that it is looking into establishing a fund for charitable donations to be made to the people of Nepal.
