Hamilton named wealthiest UK sportsman
– World Champion Lewis Hamilton has been named as the wealthiest sportsman in Britain in the Sunday Times Sport Rich List.The annual report concluded that Monaco-based Hamilton remains the UK's top earner in sports, having amassed a personal fortune of £88m, up £20m from last year.Formula 1 occupied first and second in the table last year but Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney overtook McLaren's Jenson Button for second in 2015, with an overall wealth of £72m, £1m ahead of the 2009 World Champion.Tennis star Andy Murray occupies fourth place in the list with a fortune of £48m, with competitors from football and golf filling the majority of the lower half of the...
