Maldonado, Perez and Hulkenberg get penalties
Pastor Maldonado and both Force India drivers have been hit with penalties following today's Grand Prix. The Venezuelan was adjudged not to have stayed above the minimum time set by the FIA ECU when following the safety car, a breach of Article 41.5 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations. Consequently he received a ten-second time penalty in addition to 3 penalty points, which brings his total for the 12 month period up to 8. Should he accrue a further 4 points within the 12 month period he would automatically incur a one race ban.
