From ‘worst first lap’ to top five for Bottas

Valtteri Bottas says he is satisfied to have salvaged a top five finish in the Malaysian Grand Prix after suffering a 'worst ever first lap' that dropped him from eighth to a low of 14th. The Finn was shuffled down the order after being baulked by other cars through the opening turns, forcing him well outside the top ten after the opening lap. Nonetheless, he would steadily work his way up the order, coming across Williams team-mate Felipe Massa in the closing stages and mounting an attack that would see him nose ahead with two laps remaining.
