Bottas taken to hospital after back pain

Williams Martini Racing Valtteri Bottas has been taken to hospital in Melbourne as a precaution after complaining of back pain during qualifying. Bottas was seen running wide at the final corner and after qualifying in sixth place he was checked by the FIA doctors before being taken to Alfred Hospital. "It was great to finally start the season and to have a very tight qualifying session," said Bottas. "The car performed well and we were fighting with Ferrari throughout. Unfortunately towards the end of Q2 I started to feel a pain in my back. "Under the circumstances I’m happy with sixth place, but as Felipe [Massa] proved, this is not a true indication of our pace....
