Rosberg lays down the Australian gauntlet – FP1 Report

Nico Rosberg has gone fastest for Mercedes in the first practice session for Sunday's Australian Grand Prix. He was just ahead of Lewis Hamilton, with Valtteri Bottas third for Williams. Hot and sticky conditions greeted the teams and drivers as the lights turned green for the first time at a Grand Prix in 2015. Leaves were strewn all over the street circuit but these were quickly blasted away as drivers peeled onto the circuit for installation laps and started to get a feel for their new 2015 machinery in competition spec.
