van der Garde, Sauber dispute rumbles on
The dispute between Giedo van der Garde and Sauber continues to rumble on ahead of the first free practice session for the Australian Grand Prix. The Dutchman won a court ruling against Sauber reneging on a deal to drive for the team in 2015, essentially leaving the team with three contracted race drivers – van der Garde, Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr – for two race seats just hours before action gets underway. All three are present in the paddock. van der Garde has been for his seat fitting – wearing Marcus Ericsson's overalls -, but this is potentially to fulfil obligations of the contract as enforced by the Supreme Court this week rather than be a sign of either his race chances...
