Sauber's appeal against Van der Garde dismissed
Sauber F1 Team Sauber's appeal against a court verdict that Giedo van der Garde should race for the squad in 2015 has been dismissed. Van der Garde took his case to court and claimed that he held a valid race contract with the team for 2015. On Wednesday, the Victorian Supreme Court ruled in Van der Garde's favour, though Sauber immediately appealed the decision. On Thursday morning Sauber's appeal was thrown out, effectively leaving the team with three drivers but only two cars for this weekend's Australian Grand Prix.
