Australian Judge sides with van der Garde

The Judge preciding over the Giedo van der Garde vs. Sauber F1 Team court case in Australia has found that the Dutchman should be entitled to race in Formula 1 for the team in 2015 after all. Van der Garde was the team’s test and reserve driver in 2014, and was promised a race seat for this season, but was overlooked for the drive when the team signed Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr. An arbitration from a court in Switzerland had already ruled that Sauber were in the wrong and should have promoted van der Garde to the seat as promised, and now this judgement in the Victorian Supreme Court has been confirmed this.
