Sauber to defend against Van der Garde on Monday

Sauber F1 Team Sauber has confirmed that they will defend themselves against Giedo van der Garde in a court hearing in Australia on Monday. Van der Garde claims that he holds a valid race contract for 2015 but Sauber has signed Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr for the upcoming campaign. 'In a first partial award of a Swiss arbitral tribunal, the application of Mr. van der Garde was upheld, with the tribunal relevantly ordering Sauber to refrain from taking action the effect of which would be to deprive Giedo van der Garde of his entitlement to participate in the 2015 Formula One season as one of Sauber’s two nominated race drivers', read a Sauber statement.
