Bottas sets pace as testing concludes

Williams Martini Racing Valtteri Bottas set the quickest time for Williams as Formula 1’s pre-season testing programme concluded at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday. Bottas moved to the front of the pack with a 1:23.063 towards the end of the morning session and his time was not trumped as most of the drivers focused on race simulations after the lunch break. Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel finished four-tenths of a second down on Bottas, with Sauber rookie Felipe Nasr in third. Max Verstappen lost time during the afternoon session when he stopped out on track with a suspected engine problem but he was able to return to action for the final hour, during which he set the fourth...
