Barcelona Day 3: Hamilton gives it some hammer time

Lewis Hamilton ended his final day of preseason testing on a high as he topped the timing screens at the end of the third day of testing in Barcelona fastest of all on the day at the wheel of the Mercedes W06 which has been – finally – fully unleashed in the past two days. Although the reigning world champion failed to match the time set 24 hours earlier by teammate Nico Rosberg, he still managed a best lap of 1:23.022 using soft Pirelli tyres for the first time in his six days in the car.
