Alonso thanks fans for support in video message

Fernando Alonso has greeted fans for the first time since his accident last Sunday. Alonso was briefly knocked unconscious in a testing crash at Circuit Di Catalunya last Sunday. Approaching the lunchtime break, Alonso's McLaren speared into the inside wall of Turn 4. He failed to immediately clamber free, as he had been knocked unconscious during the crash. Ron Dennis revealed in a press conference on Thursday that McLaren could hear the Spaniard breathing over the open radio channel, but failed to communicate having lost consciousness.
