Sainz lauds updated Toro Rosso as ‘step forward’

Carlos Sainz has described the updated Toro Rosso STR10 as a 'step forward' after giving the car its first run at the start of the the final pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya. The revised chassis broke cover with several new parts on the STR10, most notably a revised nose cone which replaces the flatter design shown at its launch with another that features an appendage similar to that of the Williams. With four days to bring the car up to speed before the opening round in Australia, Sainz was impressed with the performance of the STR10 straight out of the box and though technical issues consigned him to a lengthy stay in the pit lane in the afternoon, he was full of praise for...
