FIA to investigate Alonso's testing accident

– Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, has confirmed that it will be investigating Fernando Alonso's accident on the final day of last week's Barcelona test, in order to determine if any lessons can be learned.Alonso was airlifted to hospital after crashing into the wall on the inside of the circuit between Turns 3 and 4 during the late stages of Sunday's opening session.Having undergone precautionary checks, including CT and MRI scans, the Spaniard spent three nights in hospital before being released on Wednesday.Although Formula 1 tests are organised by the teams, rather than the FIA, the latter has decided to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident."We will...
