McLaren issue statement on Alonso crash: ‘No evidence of mechanical failure'

McLaren have released a statement, updating on the condition of Fernando Alonso as well as publishing the results of their investigation. Fernando Alonso was airlifted to hospital during yesterday's testing session at Circuit Di Catalunya after crashing his MP4/30 into the inside wall of Turn 4. With the car registering a high G-force during the impact, Alonso was given an MRI & CT scan in hospital, all of which have shown the all-clear. McLaren released a statement this afternoon on the incident.
