Alonso remains in hospital
update on Fernando Alonso's condition is expected later today as the McLaren-Honda drive continue to convalesce in hospital following his crash in testing at Barcelona on Sunday. The Spaniard was airlifted to hospital after hitting the trackside wall at the Circuit de Catalunya on the fourth and final day of the test. Although the two-time world champion was given the all clear by scans, he was kept in hospital overnight for observation after suffering concussion in the impact of the crash.
