Rookie Verstappen heads morning timesheets
CLICK HERE for F1 test results [Saturday AM]. Max Verstappen has topped the timesheets on the third morning of Formula 1 pre-season testing at the Circuit de Catalunya in the Toro Rosso. The Dutchman, who will become the youngest driver to start an F1 race next month aged just 17, powered to the top of the timesheets mid-way through the morning, his benchmark lap of 1min 24.739secs proving 1.4secs quicker than Lewis Hamilton. Completing 60 laps, Verstappen's efforts came before forecasted light rain made its presence felt ahead of lunchtime, consigning most to the pit lane as the chequered flag fell for the lunch break.
