Upbeat Alonso senses McLaren s quick potential

Fernando Alonso feels he is beginning to understand the potential of the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 after getting the chance to challenge its limits and push on the second day of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Catalunya. Following its relative lack of mileage in Jerez, McLaren-Honda's progress is being keenly observed in Barcelona. However, though its week didn't start well when a problem with the MGU-K limited Jenson Button to 21 laps on the first day, Alonso notched up 59 laps on day two.
