Alonso hails McLaren progress in Barcelona

+ Fernando Alonso has hailed McLaren’s progress after the team enjoyed its most productive day of pre-season testing so far. The Woking-based team completed just 21 laps on the opening day of running at the Circuit de Catalunya – owing to a MGU-K fault – but Alonso managed to add 59 laps to the team's tally on Thursday, the most laps achieved on a single day by McLaren in testing so far this year. “We definitely had a better day today,” Alonso told reporters at the Spanish circuit. “We could complete some runs.
