Maldonado sets F1 test pace for Lotus

Pastor Maldonado shrugged off technical gremlins to put his Lotus-Mercedes top on a fairly eventful first F1 test day at the Circuit de Catalunya in Spain. The Venezuelan – who scored his one and only F1 race win at this venue in 2012 – brought out two red flags early on in the day when his Lotus E23 ground to a halt with two different technical issues.
