Rosberg encouraged by Mercedes display

– Nico Rosberg was left in a buoyant mood following a reliable showing from Mercedes on the opening day of pre-season testing at Jerez.Putting the new F1 W06 Hybrid through its paces, Rosberg racked up 157 laps, 84 more than the next best set by Williams' Valtteri Bottas and Sauber's Marcus Ericsson.Rosberg spent the morning session at the head of the pack and ended the day in third place, behind Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and the aforementioned Ericsson."That was a great start to the winter testing," Rosberg explained."In the beginning it's all about reliability and we managed to do a lot of mileage today.
